Experimental study for Blasting Parameters Optimization of Open Pit Prespliting Blasting in Hui Chang Tin Mine

Jiangxi Hui Chang Tin Mine is a processing capacity of 1,400 tons, and the open pit has service life of over 18 years. The surrounding rocks of final dope is major granitic rock with joints and cracks developed. The shallow springing blasting was used in the mine, this way aggravated the rock crushing, as a result, made the slope poor stability. In order to ensure the safety producing, the mine decided to adopt controlled blasting to repair the final slope. Through eight months consecutive contrast test on the scene, the prespliting blasting parameters are the height of 12 meters bench, 90 millimeters aperture. 14 meters depth hole, 1.0~1.2 meters hole spacing, 0.33~0.44kg/m the density of string loading, at the same time, the medium deep hole blasting was used before the prespliting holes 10 meters, the row spacing are 1.4~1.5 meters between the prespliting holes and the cushion holes. The smooth and steady slope and good economic returns are achieved by this measures. The mining side has adopted the method.
