Design, Operation and Assessment of Pre-split Blasting in Open Cut Coal Mine

摘要：

Pie-split blasting technique is required in open cut mines to protect the integrality and stability of die final wall. Anjialing Open Cut Coal Mine had long worked on the application of this technique, but the performance was not obviously good. Therefore, re-design, optimization, trial and assessment of pre-split blasting were carried out, which unproved the blasting performance and quality. Parameters in the design calculated by empirical formula and modified from actual practices meet the requirement of pre-split blasting of sedimentary rock stratus and brings good blasting performace. For pre-split blasting design, parameters should be modified with actual rock properties. This paper is to summarize and share the successful experience with similar mines.
