Vibration Test in Demolition Blasting of a 152.8-Meter-High Chimney in Huangdao Power Plant
The vibration caused by demolition blasting of a 152.8-meter-high chimney was monitored and relevant data were collected. In blasting demolition of high building such as chimneys, the intensity of ground vibration caused by charge explosion and cut collision is usually much lower than that by the collapse impact of high parts to the ground. So cushioning measures should be taken along the direction of the building collapse. The conclusion drawn through data analysis can be referenced by similar demolition blasting.
