Progress and Some Peculiarities of the Use of Explosives on Base of Ammonium Nitrate in Contemporary Conditions
The most of the industrial explosives are applied in form of mixtures, that does not contain explosive components and can be produced at stationary setting of adventures. Base of composite explosives (oxidizer) is ammonium nitrate (AN), that can be in the solid state (more often in form granules) in the mixtures with liquid combustible fuel, in most cases with fuels oil (ANPO).Russian porous grill ammonium nitrates differ from foreign analogues in method of production as well as in their special characteristics. The experiments with ANFO mixtures on a base of porous grill AN from Russia, China, and France were carried out. Dependencies detonation velocity versus FO content of mixtures on a base of Russian porous grill AN and porous grill AN, that was thermal treated, were plotted. ANFO that was made on a base of AN from France and China had experimental detonation velocity that closed to calculated one. Experimental detonation velocity of ANFO on a base of Russian trademarks porous grill was less than calculated one. Detonation velocity of ANFO charges on a base of thermal-treated Russian AN was higher on 1 km/s approximately in comparison with ones on a base on untreated AN. Difference between physicocnemical properties of Russian and foreign AN samples was disclosed by means of differential scanning calorimetry method.
