Study on the Material Composition and Structural Parameters of Linear Shaped Charge Cutter

Because of its special shape, the linear shaped charge cutter(LSCC) can fonn a metal jet which has knife-blade shape cutting capability after explosive is detonated. In addition, LSCC has the virtues of deft and soft structure. The linear shaped charge cutter can be applied to the blasting cutting of metal target in allusion to its characteristic due to its virtues above. The cutting capability of LSCC is decided by its material composition, and structural parameters. In order to make full use of LSCC, the key technology of the matching law between explosive varieties and metal liner and the design of the structural parameters of LSCC are lucubrated in this paper by the way of theoretical analysis and experimental research.The study has showed that the appropriate selection of explosive varieties and liner material, the parameters optimization of explosive varieties and liner structure, the search of matching law between explosive varieties and metal liner are the important way to obtaining the metal jet of high cutting capability. The theoretical analysis of explosive performance and experimental research of blasting cutting has showed that the high energy explosive, such as R852 and 8321, can improve the metal jet velocity remarkably. As a result, the effect of jet penetration target can be improved obviously. Moreover, the use of high energy explosive results in the miniaturization of the explosive materials. The study has showed that the performance of liner material has an important effect on maximal energy density equilibrium jet segment. The metal jet has much high cutting capability when the liner material using copper, brass, lead-antimony alloy et al. There are appropriate relation between aluminiferous explosive of different prescription and different metal materials. The study has indicated the matching law of generating strong penetration force between detonation parameters and liner parameters. On the basis of the law, the design method of the liner material, cone angle, generatrix, liner thickness and charge thickness are established.
