Study on Unsteady Exploding Effect and Control Technique in Explosive Welding

Influence of unsteady exploding section on welding quality of composite plate in explosive welding is analyzed in this text. The section can not be calculated with theory now, so it is confirmed that the length is about 150~200mm by testing variation of interface wave of composite plate, according to relationship between exploding load and the wave size. Moreover, It is also pointed out that the microwave interface that meets high quality welding require can be obtained at 50~60mm away from detonating point on the basis of the variation, and the increase of exploding velocity is not necessary after the distance. Therefore, technique measures that control the influence of unsteady exploding effect on welding quality of composite plate are provided and a new technique of unequal thickness distribution of dynamite is invented. It is shown that the measures can not only eliminate un-welding areas of the composite plate detonating side, but also can greatly reduce the distortion of whole composite plate.
