Experimental Study of Controllable Explosive Resource in Geological Exploration

As one of geological exploration techniques, geological structures can be explored making use of the wave induced by the controllable explosive resource. This paper introduces a new approach to obtain controllable explosive resource by blasting in water box. Furthermore, the characteristics of propagation and attenuation of seismic wave is studied by many experiments. It is found that the wave induced by the device can be almost completely repeated by analyzing wave shape, initial phase and frequency spectrum. Transverse wave propagation velocity on Mao-ping landslide is 350~400m/s, and longitudinal wave propagation velocity is 1500~2000m/s. All of the experiments show the explosive source in water box is an effectively way to explore the structure characteristics of geologic body.
