Progress of R&D of Lithium ion batteries and relative materials in China
R&D of Lithium ion batteries & relative materials are very active since past five years. Up to now, high rate Li ion cells with Al doped LiMn2O4 have been successfully developed& used in Fuel cell powered vehicles. Also, EV cars with 50Ah & 80Ah Li ion batteries are now in the running condition and show good performances. Al doped LiMn2O4 and Li(NixCoyMnz)O2 as positive materials, have also been developed for use in 10Ah cells for E-bikes & power tools, both in China. Furthermore, C-Si composite as negative materials & LiFePO4 as positive materials are still under investigation in R & D as well as applications.
