High capacity Si-C composite anode materials for Li-ion batteries
Several Si-C composites are prepared by dispersed sub-micro Si in pyrolysis of pitch, phenol resin or graphitized carbon microbead powders, the electrochemical performance of the composites is studied in detail. An improved characteristic has been obtained by the modification process with submicron-Si embedded in disordered carbon and natural graphite matrix. The capacity of Si-C composites is increased greatly, and the irreversible capacity is decreased, cycle performance also improved remarkably.
