Surface treatment technology for thermal stability enhancement and high capacity of cathode material For Lithium Secondary Battery
To improve the thermal stability and reversible capacity of LiCoO2, inactive/active coating was carried out. The TEM image showed a uniform coating layer with a thickness of about 20nm on LiCoO2 bulk powders.Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) experiment showed that the thermal stability of active material can be improved by uniformity of coating. The active coated-LiCoO2 showed enhanced capacity retention compared to bare LiCoO2.
