The Discovery of High Frequency Ventricular Repolarization Waves

Microvariation in ventricular repolarization is an important factor for the risk prediction of sudden cardiac death (SCD).It is of high academic value and has good clinical application prospect to carry on deep research on such microvariation.In order to get the bioelectrical characteristics of microvariation in ventricular repolarization,we used a wavelet domain Wiener filtering method to analyze the electrocardiogram (ECG),and unexpectedly discovered high frequency ventricular repolarization waves (HFVRWs),a series of microvolt high frequency waves during ventricular repolarization.In an unshielded condition,we have completed the HFVRWs detection of 50 cases,12 healthy volunteers and 38 patients with heart diseases.In all 50 cases,the HFVRWs detection rate is 100%.From the work in this paper,we can draw the following conclusions.First,the HFVRWs is a new electrophysiological phenomenon,from which we can get more information about ventricular repolarization.Secondly,the bodysurface beat-to-beat HFVRWs detecting system proposed in this paper can offer advantages of being noninvasive and convenient.The recorded waveform is of high resolution that can perfectly satisfy the clinical requirements.
