The Study on the Treatment of Mice Inoculated S-180 with Electrochemotherapy
Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a new efficient approach which treats tumor by electroporation and chemotherapeutic agents. Electroporation can deliver exogenous molecules such as drugs into cell by pulsed electric fields through a temporary increase in cell membrane permeability. It results in much higher uptake of the drugs and better effect of antitumoral treatment. We have performed the experiments on mice inoculated S-180 using gene pulser transfection apparatus LN-101 and needle electrodes combined with antitumor drugs. Inhibitory rates of ECT with antitumor drugs Cyclophosphamide (CTX) and Bleomycin(BLM) are 60.9% and 70.4% respectively, and are enhanced significantly in contrast to other methods in the experiments.
