A Novel Approach for Enhancing the Visual Perception of Ribs in Chest Radiography

摘要：

Intensity adjustment is an image enhancement technique that maps an images intensity values to a new range. However,this intensity adjustment does not effectively enhance particular structures such as ribs on a 2D chest radiograph.In this paper,we develop a new method using a lopsided hemiellipsoid cavity to deflate lungs.This is necessary in order to enhance the unclear ribs resulting from air-filled lungs in a typical chest radiograph procedure.
