Study on The Energy Loss Model of Ultrasonic Surgery Scalpel
Ultrasonic transducer is the kernel part of ultrasonic vibration system, changes electric energy into mechanical energy and determines the performance of system mostly. To reduce the temperature of ultrasonic surgery scalpel, it is necessary to analyze the energy loss of the ultrasonic transducer. First, The energy loss model of the thin equation section rod is deduced based on the theory of electrical transmission line and two ports network, while taking none but internal friction into account. Then, the energy loss model of the longitudinal direction ultrasonic transducer is established based on the theory of electrical transmission line and Mason model. The difference of maxim import conductance between the theory calculated value and experiment value is 0.065S in the experiment. The main reason is taking no structure loss of transducer into accounted. Compared with the traditional plural constant model, this method can easily calculate the energy loss of the ultrasonic transducer as long as the material mechanical quality factor is given.
