Implantable System for Optic Nerve Visual Prosthesis
Recent research on implantable system provides available technology to the retinal prosthesis. Via penetrating the microelectrodes into the brain and stimulating the optic nerve, the device could evoke visual percepts in humans, which can use to restoring the lost vision. However, how to employ component to control the process of data and energy and produce the innocent and efficient bioelectric signal finally is rather difficult task. The technique of wireless communication and programmed current source give a feasible way. The particular design for stimulus part is present in this paper. Experimental data showed that the multi-stimulator was capable of generating controllable stimulation patterns with different parameters.
