C-reactive Protein Immunoassay through Surface Plasmon Resonance Detection Based on A Microfluidic Platform
C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute phase reactant, and is an important biomarker whose concentration in serum can be used for monitoring inflammation and predicting atherosclerotic, cardiovascular events etc. In this study, surface plasma resonance(SPR) technology is adopted in combination with immunoassay for CRP concentration analysis and dynamic observation in limited time frame, thereby eliminating complicated labeling procedure and greatly reduce the complexity of the detection system. With corresponding fluid manipulation enabled by a microfluidic platform, this detection strategy holds the promise of being a point-of-care diagnostic approach.
