Comparison Study on Genes Expression and Structure in Peanut Seed Coat Resistance to A. flavus
Genes required for die synthesis of aflatoxin and sterigmatocystin are well conserved between aspergilli and are located in large gene clusters. The relative order and transcriptional direction of some of the homologous gene pairs though are not conserved. To find the key genes or locus in peanut seed testa closely related to A flaws in fection, we conduct this experiment and try to find out the special locus in seed testa, to which A. flavus may attach. The results of this experiment was valuable to carry out deep research, especially those function unknown genes should be put much emphasis on.This research verified and clarified other new proof of relationship between resistance to A. flavus and seed testa structure, including the thickness of wax layer, tightness and integrity change of epidermis, order arranged epidermis as mentioned above. The entire element consisted of an integrated and tight seed testa, which could highly resistant to infection of A. flavus, or it would be easily infected by A. flavus. More important, we thought all these research results were concerned with physical resistance of peanut testa, which was the first barrier to resistance to A. flavus infection. However, what s the effect of vasculature changes, and how the effect of testa thickness was on resistance to A. flavus infection should be discussed with more peanut germ plasm.
