Factors Affecting the Ability of Self-innovation: an Empirical Analysis in Industrial Enterprises in China
Independent innovation plays an important role in the development of economy and security of country, which needs large investment of human and material resources. There are numerous factors affecting the independent innovation, so it is necessary to grasp the focus of problem and then measures can be taken. The paper applies the grey relational analysis and grey non-linear regression analysis to study the factors affecting the ability of independent innovation in Chinese industrial enterprises from the empirical perspective, In the paper, the empirical analysis is carried out based on the database that covers nearly the data for ten years from Technology Statistical Yearbook. Firstly, grey relational analysis is applied to find that the key index which can reflect the ability of independent innovation in industrial enterprises is the index of applications for utility model received. Secondly, non-linear regression analysis is used to find the main factors affecting independent innovation ability by the use of the index of applications for utility model received as its main behavior variable. Finally, the suggestion and advice to enhance the ability of independent innovation in Chinese industrial enterprises are put forward according to the results of analysis.
