Inter-firm Networks: Collective Efficiency and Small-and-Medium Enterprise Growth Path in Uncertainty

摘要：

Recent research on inter-firm networks of small-and-medium enterprises uncovered a tendency that with the increasing of uncertainty in economic environment, the significance of inter-firm network in promoting growth is increasing. Uncertainty brings enterprises into cooperation, communion and organizational learning. This paper focuses on the relationship of uncertainty and governance mode, especially network governance, and how collective efficiency is occuiring within inter-firm networks. The discussion is conducted with the effect of networking, especially for enterprises in developing countries and transitional economies.
