Predicting Method and Its Application of Catastrophe Theory in Water Inrush from Coal Floor Based

Based on the cusp catastrophe characteristics of water inrush from coal floor, and aimed at the monitoring signal of predicting index in water inrush from coal floor, the cusp catastrophe model of single variable series and its stable criterion are analyzed by applying catastrophe theory, then proposing the predicting method in water inrush from coal floor. The practical predicting result conforms to the on-the-spot situation. Consequently it is proved that this method is a new effective approach for prediction in water inrush from coal floor.
