Design and Realization of Virtual Reality System of Fully Mechanized Mining Face

This paper introduced function design and development flow of the Virtual reality system of fully mechanized mining face. In the process of geometric modeling, cell partition, instance and fog technology were used to improve the real-time. Based on the analysis of four-bar movement construction, the paper built motion model of hydraulic-powered-support and realized its behavior modeling. This system was established by means of OpenGL and Visual C++ 6.0. The system has obvious stereo vision effect, and interaction functions of roaming and equipments operation. In addition, the production process of fully mechanized mining face was simulated. The design and realization of this system put forward a new approach to miner training, student practice and disaster rehearsing.
