Analysis of the Stability of 3-D Slope Engineering in the Transition from Surface Mining to Underground Mining

After building the 3-D engineering geological model and the 3-D calculating model of the North-West edge slope engineering (NWESE) in An Tai Bao surface mine, by using FLAC3D technique, the stability of the 3-D slope engineering was analysed and evaluated, which was under such conditions before, during and after mining, and the key technical problems whether it was possibility to mine were successfully solved. The engineering practice had benefited more in technic and economic from the theoretical results. It shows the conclusion to the similar field conditions, which is of important theoretical meaning to direct the practice in the similar engineering.
