Study on the Observation Data of Surface Movements due to Wide Strips Mining in Deep-lying Seams

In order to improve production efficiency in strip mining and protect the ground surface configuration and structure, in the paper, the surface subsidence rules of wide strip mining in deep-lying seams were analyzed and studied through the observation data gained from mining one wide strip in 25 mining section of Hemei 9th mine. Main results of study are as follows:①the value of surface subsidence is so small that it only occupies 1/10 amount of full-mining;②the range of influence for surface movement is almost the same with the full-mining, and the basin of surface subsidence is very gentle;③points of inflection always moves according to the different mining degree and leans to coal pillar under utmost non-full extraction;④nonexistence of surface movement active age, delay of surface movement age, nonexistence of advance influence angle are all time influencing factors expression. These rules adapt for mining deep-lying seams under the similar geological conditions, and can instruct the design for coal mining under buildings, railways and water-bodies in deep-lying seams.
