Deformation and Failure Mechanisms of Soft Rock Roadway Intersection in deep Underground
Using numerical methods,the stability of roadway intersection was studied under the condition of great depth excavation, high stress and soft rock masses. During the simulation, the depth of cover, horizontal stress, rock mass, geometrical factors of intersection had been investigated comprehensively, so as to determine roof and rib deformation characteristics of roadway intersection under soft rock mass and deep conditions. Also, combing the latest research results, the deformation and failure mechanisms have been proposed, which may be used as a guideline for soft rock mass intersection construction and deformation prediction in great depths.
