Problems Analysis of Two Main Kinds of Classification Methods on Roadway Surrounding Rock Sorts Used in China Colliery
The classification methods of loose zone in surrounding rock and The Classification Plan on Stability of Rock around Gateway in Gently Inclined and Inclined Coal Seams published by the later Ministry of Coal Industry in 1988 are widely used in China colliery nowadays. The central point of the classification methods of loose zone in surrounding rock is the surrounding rock sort connecting with the loose zone size measured in roadway at worksite, the more soft of the surrounding rock, the more great of the size of loose zone, by measuring the loose zone, the surrounding rock sort can be classified. The problems with it are mainly in aspect of measurement method and how to define the loose zone size. Another method published by later Ministry of Coal Industry in 1988, is the statistical result of roadways ground pressure behavior. These roadways are not only in different mining districts, but also in different support method, the statistical result is somehow having the average meaning, can not be directly used to guide the design and production scientifically in a specific mining district.
