Numerical simulation research on control joint slide and separation of coal roadway roof with pre-tensioned bolt supporting
In coal roadway stratiform roof, joint slide and separation are the main forms of roof deformation failure and chiefly results in caving accident. By means of ANSYS, interlayer-pressure, as well as interlayer-friction pressure, interlayer-sliding distance, separation displacement changing rule, and roadway displacement distribution regularities were analyzed and obtained before and after bolting. The results show that the pre-tensioned rock bolts increase the interlayer-pressure and interlayer-friction pressure which is the strengthening mechanics for stratiform roof of roadway. Thereby the interlayer-sliding distance, the value of roof separation and the roadway displacement all are reduced. So pre-tensioned bolting is an effective way to improve joint roof stability.
