Safety Analysis for Bonding Interface Between Bolt and Rock

In bolted rock engineering, the bonded interface separation between bolt and rock mass often leads to roof fall in the bolt supporting roadway in coal mine, because of shear stress concentration . Based on the Mindlins model, the stress distribution function on the interface have been deduced. It is shown, as the increasing of elastic modulus of rock, the shear stress concentrating zone would move toward the out end of bolt. Moreover, the software of ANSYS has been used for simulating the shear stress distribution along interface, it is shown the shear stress distribution along longitudinal direction is asymmetry, i.e., the shear stress near out end of bolt is very large, but it decreases rapidly far away the out end. Shear stress distribution on the interface has also been affected by Youngs modulus E and Possions ratio . It is valuable for research the bolt reinforcing mechanism as well as reinforcing safety reliability of roadway.
