Effect of Decreasing Blasting Vibration by Presplitting Blasting and Its Application in Open Pit Mines
In order to reduce the damage of the rock around the slope surface from the blasting dynamical load, presplitting blasting techniques are used in many open pit mines, which can enhance the safety of the eternal slopes of open pits. The presplitting blasting effect is studied with the method of earthquake wave by contrast experiments in a mental open pit mine, and most of the blasting vibration wave energy can be absorbed by presplitting sew, especially for wave with high frequency and big swing. So a conclusion can be drawn that the safety and stability of open pit eternal slope can be improved by presplitting blasting.
