Study on Across-Wind Vibration of Large Span Cable-Stayed Truss of Transportation Belt Gallery
The cable-stayed truss of transportation belt gallery is characterized by long-span and small volume and weight. Cracks or fatigue of the bar is likely to appear, and oversize amplitude will affect the smooth running of the belt conveyer, even belt be off hub under the across-wind vortex-induced resonance and galloping, so designers are interested in the structural dynamic behavior under wind load. There is a lack of behavior parameters about wind vibration of large span cable-stayed light truss in the existing design specification. Thus, it is necessary to analyze the wind-vibration behavior of this structure. The largest span part in the charging belt gallery is chosen as analyzed object. The across-wind vortex-induced resonance and galloping of the long-span truss beam are analyzed and calculated using ANSYS program. Critical wind speed of every response is obtained. Relevant measures to improve the wind-resistant behavior of truss are adopted. The results can provide powerful theoretical evidence for this project and similar project design.
