Analysis on the Dynamic Local Resistance Caused by HE in Vertical Draft
Vertical draft is the main thoroughfare, whose variation of resistance will impact on the whole mine ventilation system. On the basis of the Hydromechanics Theory, this paper presents a theoretical analysis on the change of local resistance caused by the motion of hoist-equipment (HE) in vertical draft, and sets up the simulation model for studying the local resistance. The CFD software, FLUENT, has simulated the rising and falling progress of hoist-equipment and the pressure field is on hand. In order to get the variation of the local resistance in vertical draft caused by HE and its influence on mine ventilation system, the paper compares the measured value with the theoretical value and the numerical value. The findings indicated that, the local resistance caused by hoist-equipment accounts for nearly 40 percent of the whole draft resistance; it is an important factor which impacts on the stability of mine ventilation system.
