Research on Coal mine Gas Detection with WMS Technique
The tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) technique, used to detect coal-mine gas, has many prominent virtues: high sensibility, sharp selectivity, quick response and so on. A method of detecting secondary harmonic of methane in coal-mine of the concentration from 0.04% to 10%, by wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) technique, is proposed. Both theoretic analysis and experimental result prove that the magnitude of secondary harmonic is proportional to the concentration of gas in this concentration range. That provides a totally new method to detect the concentration of coal-mine gas.
