Computer Simulation on Machine Settings for Cutting Mine Spiral Bevel Gears

In the paper, adjusting method of machine tool for spiral bevel gears was analyzed. According to the description of the optimum contact area, the quantitative discriminant was obtained, and the center point of this contact area was chosen as a calculated point. Through neighborhood analysis of the calculated point, optimized adjusting parameters of machine tool were obtained. Moreover, computer simulation software was developed through contacting analysis of the pair of gears, which can not only conveniently get the gears design parameters and adjusting parameters of machine tool, but also easily realize the removal of the contact area bugs through fine changes of adjusting parameters.
