Study on EME Gray Cusp Catastrophe Model during Deformation and Fracture of Coal or Rock
Formulating electromagnetic emission (EME) signal changing characteristics during deformation and fracture of coal or rock in working face, combining with the accumulated generating operation (AGO) of gray system and cusp catastrophe theory, an EME gray cusp catastrophe model during deformation and fracture of coal or rock was established and a catastrophe judging rule was put forward. The danger of coal and gas outburst of the 12th coal seam excavating face in Hongling coal mine has been forecasted by this catastrophe model. The results indicate that between the forecast results of using the EME gray cusp catastrophe model and the comprehensive information forecast result of using the EME indexes (EME intensity E, EME pulse number N ), gas desorption index △h2, premonition phenomenon of coal and gas outburst have good consistency. The gray cusp catastrophe model can realize a continuously dynamic tendency forecast, increase the forecast precision, and has a broad application prospect.
