Employing Virtual Reality to Improve Industrial Safety
In this paper, the VR (Virtual Reality) technique is employed in a certain workshop section to improve industrial safety. First, a short general overview on the VR (Virtual Reality) technique is given. Then a summary discussion on the application and research status in safety engineering field is followed. Furthermore, according to the real workshop, a series of work has been done to implement the VR system, including drawing up the structure system of this VR system, choosing the establishment method, creating the visual environment, test running, simulating the accidents, as well as forecasting the risk. At last, advantages of employing VR in industrial safety are discussed in detail and some disadvantages are also pointed out.
