Study on Detection Method of Initial Speed from Borehole Gas Outburst Based on Multi-rate

Initial speed of borehole gas outburst is one of the important indexes of indicting coal seams protrusive danger. But the speed is a non-periodic pulse signal. In order to ensure the measuring accuracy, using normal detection methods may result in data redundancy and large memory space occupancy. This paper proposes a method of using multi-rate of modern signal process technology to detect initial speed. Comparing with present methods, multi-rate can compress data, save memory space and enhance the measuring precision.
