Experimental Study on Temperature Variation of Gas being Adsorbed and Desorbed
An experimental method is introduced to measure the temperature variation of gas being adsorbed and desorbed. Several conclusions are drawn: the process that gas adsorbed by coal is a heat releasing process, yet the process that gas desorbed from coal is a process of decalescence. In the process of sorption and desorption, the scale of temperature variation changes with the pressure variation of gas. The gas which has greater ability of being adsorbed releases much more heat when it is adsorbed and absorbs much more heat when it is desorbed. These conclusions provide a basis for thermodynamic research of coal and gas outburst.
