Preventive Fire Technology of CFSC in Spontaneous Combustion Thick-Seam after It Mined out
Since top-coal over fully mechanized coal face with sublevel caving is not been drawn before the coal face extraction has been finished, gob has more broken coal. Combined with top-coal over supports, these coals easily lead to spontaneous combustion in gob while withdrawing supports in terminal line of the coal face. Based on the characteristic of spontaneous combustion thick-seam in Gengcun Coal Mine, Yima Coal Group of China, the authors carried out pouring and injecting yellow-mud-fluid into gob, spraying polyamide, utilizing auxiliary fan for lower-air-quantity ventilation and employing preventive fire technology etc. At the same time, it is a new supports transported gateway which connects rise and terminal line that was driven out. The terminal line was divided into two sections, e.g., the raise section and the dip section. The supports situated in two sections may be simultaneously removed. Since withdrawing supports speed was accelerated, the maintaining time in terminal mining of the coal face was shortened; coal spontaneous combustion in terminal line has been effectively prevented by above measures. The research results have been widely applied in Gengcun Coal Mine, and have acquired obvious economical and social benefits.
