The Research on Non-explosion Method of Assessing the Characteristic of Igniting Flammable Gas by Electric Arc
This article will discuss the effectiveness and the fundamental way of the non-explosion method of assessing the igniting characteristics of electric arc. Different circuits have different arc-over models. Pure resistance circuit, capacitive circuit and inductive circuit have different characteristics of discharge. But we can study the igniting characteristic by discharge energy no matter what discharge characteristic is. An arc includes the discharge course of disconnection and closure in the arc testing equipment. Usually the course of disconnection is the main course. Its easy to differentiate the course of discharge in standard equipment and its hard to differentiate in simple equipment because of the flutter of electrode. A course is confirmed by discharge time, and the time is less than 200μs generally. We choose 200μs as a window and glide in a certain distance. So we can judge the igniting characteristic through computing the energy in every slip window.
