Experimental Research on Low-Temperature Oxidation Characteristics of Lignite in Inner Mongolia

In this paper, characteristics of gaseous products and temperature rise of Inner Mongolia lignite in low-temperature oxidation experiment are studied by three experimental methods. They are normal temperature oxidation, program heat oxidation and adiabatic oxidation. The results indicated that tested coal samples can be oxidated and produce CO on normal temperature condition. The relation between CO concentration and oxidation time is single increasingly; it basically according to three cubed power law equation. CO concentration increase during oxidation and reach maximum at last. In programmed heat oxidation experiment, it produces CO when coal temperature higher than 40℃. CO concentration increase whit coal sample temperature according with index relation before 180℃. After 200℃, oxidation of coal samples comes into vigorous oxidation stage, and emits lots of heat. In adiabatic oxidation experiment, temperature of coal sample increase from 50℃ to 120℃ in 48 hours. The coal sample temperature rise is according to fourth power law equation. In this stage, emitting heat quantity is 6948.9J per one gram coal of sample 1.
