Volume Visualization of Digital Mine Based on OpenGL
The representation of three-dimensional entities is one of the key problems of digital mine. OpenGL is a low-level graphics library specification, which makes available a small set of geometric primitives, such as points, lines, polygons, images, and bitmaps. This paper presents an approach using 2D/3D textures and Multi-pass Algorithm based on OpenGL environment, which allows real-time rendering of volume data in digital mine. The geology and mining data sets are represented as structured volume grids, combining the volume and surface model of mine.
