Development of Automatic Monitoring System of Gas Pressure in Coal Seam
Conventional gas pressure determining instruments in coal seam studies have many deficiencies, such as the fussy manual work of numerical reading, the low accuracy of measurement, the discontinuity of data acquisition, the incapability of data visualization and analysis in time. In order to solve these problems, an automatic monitoring system of gas pressure, which is mated with gas pressure determination instruments, is developed by digital information technique. This system is made up of digital pressure sensor, singlechip and monitor software of computer. Digital pressure sensor can convert monitored gas pressure signals into electric signals, then into digital signals by the A/D converter of singlechip. Data acquisition and storage can also be automatically carried out by singlechip according to appointed time interval. Using serial communication port, the stored data in singlechip is imported into computer, then is visualized, inquired, and analyzed by computer software. As the research importance, some key techniques of realizing hardware and software in this system are introduced. Finally, by the practical application in coal mine of Tongchuan district, Shanxin province, China, the reliability and practicability of this system is tested.
