Research on Safety Evaluation Method for the Active Chemical Installations in China
In recent years, the chemical accidents or disasters caused by the defects of chemical installations occurred frequently. The active chemical devices in China fall into three categories according to their individual dangers. It was pointed out that safety evaluation of the active chemical installations is of significantly practical importance for the hierarchy supervision, focused management, formulation of prevention measures, identification of hazard sources, working out emergency program in order to decrease the chemical accidents or disasters and therefore reduce their severe consequences.The safety evaluation methods for active chemical installations in China were particularly studied. Compared with those in other countries, the chemical installations currently used in China have their own characteristics and furthermore the practical effects of safety management are much more emphasized.Therefore, the evaluation methods, which will not only ensure the assessment of inherent danger but also enrich the contents of safety management, should be explored.The actual application of these methods was introduced through examples.
