Numerical simulation and analysis of Environmental Tobacco Smoke in a House with Two-zones

Considering two adjacent rooms in a single-story house, this paper derived and numerically studied the concentration of environmental tobacco smoke in a house with two-zones. Attention is focused on the effects of the properties of smoke source which including source time function and mass diffusivity, the ventilation rate and ventilation model. It is founded that mass diffusivity doesnt influence the tendency of average concentration but influences the numerical value of it. It is also founded that the exhaust fan situated at the zone of the smoke source is effectively to remove the environmental tobacco smoke out of the two-zones, which is beneficial to safeguard the occupational safety and health.
