Flexural Characteristics of Concrete Beams Strengthened with Near-Surface Mounted CFRP Laminate Strips
The failure mode, the cracking moment and ultimate moment of the beams strengthened with near-surface mounted (NSM) CFRP are studied and compare with the beams strengthened with external bonded reinforced (EBR) CFRP by experimental. The cracking moment and ultimate moment of the beams strengthened with NSM CFRP are analyzed, and the transformation and the cracking development of the test beams when the strengthening amount and groove width is constant are analyzed. The study indicates that comparing with the beams isnt strengthened the loading-bearing capacity of the beams strengthened with near-surface mounted CFRP increased from 11.2% to 41.7% ,and comparing with the beams strengthened with EBR CFRP the loading-bearing capacity increased from 15.5% to 22.7%.
