Analysis on the Mechanism of Tunnel Collapse and Its Control Measures
Collapse is the most occurring geologic disaster during the construction of tunnel, and it has been an important potential safety hazards which causes loss of life and riches, construction delay and tunnel operation. A large number of engineering facts of collapse were stated and analyzed through consulting references and field investigation. Through the analysis on the statistical materials, a new classification scheme is proposed in this paper, it is geological condition, buried depth, form and size of cross section, ground water, blasting disturbs and incorrect construction measures that are considered as the main influencing factors of tunnel collapse. The contribution on tunnel collapse of the above factors are analyzed comprehensively while the ratio of collapse height to tunnel span, the ratio of buried depth of tunnel to tunnel span and the ratio of the width of surface sink to tunnel span are taken as the parameters remarking the degree of collapse, and some rules are obtained. Finally some general control measures of tunnel collapse are proposed, and they provide references for tunnel constructed safely.
