Study on the Subsidence Factor of Strata & Surface Movement Caused by Coal Mining
Coal seam overlying strata are mainly made of sedimentary rock and alluvium. Because of the difference in diagenetic process, mineral constituents and sedimentation thickness, the volume of subsidence basin in overlying strata will change with stratas compression, expansion and bed separation during strata movement. So a new modification model based on probability function method has been put forward, that is, rock mass flat stratification, isotropy in horizontal direction and subsidence basin volume varying with depth. Based on above assumptions, a new subsidence-factor formula of strata and surface movement has been derived and the relationship between subsidence factor and mining depth, mining area and lithological characters has been analyzed using the new formula.
