Analytic solutions of finite deformations of a class of incompressible hyper-elastic spherical structures

In this paper, the static problems on radially symmetric deformations of some spherical structures, such as a solid sphere, a sphere with an initial micro-void, a spherical shell and a spherical membrane, composed of a class of transversely isotropic incompressible hyper-elastic materials about the radial direction are examined. By using the minimal potential energy principle and the incompressibility condition, the solutions that describe the radial deformations of the spherical structures with the surface tensile loads are obtained. The effects of material and structure parameters on radial deformations of the structures are discussed in detail with numerical examples.
