Effect of temperature on dynamical formation of cavity for thermo-hyperelastic materials

Dynamical formation of cavity in a solid sphere, composed of an incompressible thermo-hyperelastic material, under a suddenly applied uniform radial tensile boundary dead-load is examined. For sufficiently large load, there is the cavitation solution involving an internal traction-free spherical cavity displaying nonlinear periodic oscillation. The effect of temperature on the formation and motion of cavity is analyzed in the case of non-uniform temperature field and uniform temperature field. It is shown the effect of temperature is obvious.
