Study on micromechanical behavior in Ni-based single crystals superalloys
In this paper an elastoplastic model is presented and the equivalent inclusion method is applied to study the strengthening mechanism and directional coarsening in the Ni-based superalloys. The stress-strain relation related with the micro-structural parameters for the Ni-matrix composite is established based on Eshelby-Mori-Tanakas theory. The results indicate that the directional coarsening and precipitation hardening are closely related with the micro-structure parameters such as the shape, size and volume traction of the inclusions. Moreover, the effects of the temperature and external stress are briefly discussed.
