Large deflection of a cantilever incompressible poroelastic beam
A nonlinear mathematical model for large deflection of a cantilever incompressible poroelastic beam subjected to a transversal load at the free end is established firstly with constraint mat velocity of the pore fluid prevails only in the axial direction. Then, me curves of deflections and bending moments of the poroelastic beam and the equivalent couples of the pore fluid pressure for the cantilever poroelastic beam with fixed end impermeable and free end permeable are obtained numerically. The differences of the results between the large deflection and the small deflection theory are revealed.
